Matthew Preisser

I am currently a PhD Candidate in Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin (anticipated May 2025 graduation). I received a dual master's degree in Water Resources Engineering and Public Affairs, and I continue to study the intersection of flooding and social vulnerability. My research focus is in developing tools and methods to describe and predict the compounding impacts of hazards on society.
